While getting rescued by the rebel force, Jyn tries to escape only to be stopped by a reprogrammed Imperial droid K-2SO (Alan Tudyk), who takes her to the rebellion headquarters. Rook surrenders himself to one of Saw Gerrara’s goons, who takes him to Saw's hideout where he relays the message. A Rebel operative Cassian Andor (Diego Luna) finds out that an imperial pilot Bodhi Rook (Riz Ahmed) has defected to the Rebel Alliance with important information. Jyn manages to escape into hiding only to be found by extremist anti-Empire warrior, Saw Gerrara (Forest Whitaker).Ģ0 years later, Jyn is seen locked up in an Imperial jail.
The film starts with a young Jyn Erso (Felicity Jones) witnessing the murder of her mother and abduction of her father Galen Erso (Mads Mikkelsen), the brilliant scientist and engineer behind the plans for the Empire’s powerful new weapon, called a 'Death Star' by the hands of Director Orson Krennic (Ben Mendelsohn).
